Thornewood Castle Wedding Tacoma Washington
I was honored to be a part of Bethan and Dave's beautiful flawless fairytale wedding! Alongside Rebecca Ann Mortenson Photography, we watched their closest friends and family as they said I do. The setting at Thornewood Castle near Seattle Washington was nothing short of breathtaking. Beautiful and elegant from the intricate details of this castle, all the way down to the most delicate lace on the bride's dress. This grand castle was built in England, brick by brick and then reassembled in the early 1900's here in its final resting place. This was one of the couple's biggest draws to this castle. You see, Bethan is from England herself.
Bethan and Dave met outside of a Yoga Studio in London where Dave was on location working at the time. He had all but given up on finding love in beautiful England, when it just so happened they had decided to take the same yoga class. Dave had even told his mom over the phone "Mom unless my name is Harry or William these beautiful women won't even look my way" I am betting he is so glad to be wrong on that one account.
Bethan and Dave's friend wrote the most amazing ceremony about them. One line stands out to me the most. "When the frozen tundra becomes rivulets of water melting into a lush and verdant spring" Gosh! I could just listen to this man all day. Many more touching lines were shared, and then the kiss!
Surrounded by their family and friends stories were shared, laughter and tears flowed, and a grand time was had by all. Their Friends and Family by the way traveled a collective 106,000 miles to be with them today, which coincidentally is half way to the moon! Dinner and toasts and cake cutting were all next, and then the after party started!
Bethan and Dave, I wish you all the happiness and love in your lifetime. You've already made it half way to the moon, I am sure love will carry you all the way to the moon. around it, and back again.
